Lol, "start".
Boston's penalty differential might have something to do with them being the dirtiest team in the game. |

The problem is the refs calling the dive in conjunction with the original penalty. There's no incentive not to dive in the league the worst that can happen is a 4 vs 4. I don't believe I've seen an embellishing call by itself. It's a disgrace.
It's true that if you want to get calls in this league you have to perfect the art of embellishing. It's a fine art. |

I thought for long periods of time last night the B's were by far the better team - B's had the better chances - FA was the difference he straight robbed at least 3 or 4 grade A chances the B's had - The monster let in at least 2 softies only RR's laser from the right dot was legit goal for ducks -
the Refs get a D+ from me last night - watching lots of games this yr it just seems as though the stripes have been missing lots of obvious calls - my take a penalty is a penalty - late game, early game - if it puts team down 5x3 so be it - just call them - players will adjust - |

Instead of enforcing the rules, they call penalties contextually to adjust how close games will be. Complete BS. |

Both teams went 0-2 on the PP. Calls were missed for both teams.
Ducks first goal was a lucky bounce. Second a juicy rebound that Kesler just beat his man to get to, third off a turnover the goalie had no chance on, and fourth a laser shot by Rakell perfectly placed (no chance on that either).
Ducks did a great job of clogging the middle and limiting shots to the outside for the most part. Andersen did the rest. Bruins just had one of those games. |

Start diving? Marchand is well known to be the very best diver in the league, I give him credit though, the guy is good!! |

Especially when you consider the B's were elite for many of those seasons. It's not just a coincidence anymore. It's not an accident. Whether it's Boston's rep as being dirty, maybe the league trying extra hard to prove the whole Campbell thing was made up or maybe the B's really do dive less than other teams. Something is happening that's causing the B's to get ridiculously too few PP opportunities |

I agree. Also some tips on how to be bitter and awful but yet act as the league's no...Hockey's moral compass! That would be the bee's knees. |

Back to work and no blogs today or yesterday. What a life...
Anyone read that Kevan Miller story? Suggesting he'll get 3 million on the open market. That is, although laughable, not anywhere near what I would suggest Boston pay him. IF they keep him, it better be under a million. I will still lobby for Eriksson. 5.75 milllion for 5 years. Get it done Sweeney. |

Kevan miller will likely get Bartkowski money. My guess is somewhere in the range of 1.25-2 mil per. I dont like it, but I have a feeling Eriksson is going to walk for nothing or have his rights traded at the draft. |

and yeah, a year like this, who would you give it to....?
I'd say mcquaid, for the most part he's played a solid, mid to low defenceman. Spoons would be my next call, only because my high expectations of him have vanished.
